Young artists in the making. Here we are working on our fabulous clay heads at Art. Can't wait to finish   modelling them and then letting our creative juices loose as we paint them and create awesome characters that reflect our personalities. That's Rory, Ryan and Jacob focused on their work with Shakaiya supervising and offering advice. The enthusiasm shown by the whole class during these sessions is great to see and hear. Thanks Mrs Duxfield for making Art so much fun and a wonderful learning experience.

A great day to view Hanmer from Conical Hill. Wet and cold but fun. A group of Kahawai children on their walk on Thursday at camp. The soak afterwards at the Hot Pools was awesome. The whole syndicate went to Hanmer from the 7th to 11th May- that's over 120 of us. As always it was a wonderful experience. Thanks Parents and Teachers

Within our Learning Centre we do not have our own desks. We are encouraged to change our work stations daily and depending on our activity. We are able to work outside the studio and are responsible for reconnecting with each other as timetabled on our independent learning plans. We keep our learning books in tote bags so that we are truly mobile.
Jonny is taking the opportunity to work independently in one of the cells. Great choice Jonny!

Our community room is a bright inviting space and it is set up so there are a variety of interactive and independent work stations within the classroom and in the spaces in the hallways. We are encouraged to collaborate as the world of learning is social and collaborative.
